The Comet "Flexiflyer"

logo

Here housing an Italian GM Engine, the interesting thing about the Comet is the term "Flexiflyer" and to what it relates.

The main frame between handlebars and seat actually comprises of two tubes as opposed to the normal one. You can clearly see that the tubing has an adjustable bracket which could be altered to vary the amount of "flexibility" in the frame and would be adjusted to suit both rider and track conditions.

OEC had tried something similar some 30 years earlier and those who have looked at the Maely Page will know that it too had a similar type of adjustable frame.
