Drewer Mopeds

A Brief History of the Marque

Manufacturer: Hermann Drewer, Heepen. 1953-1955

Hermann Drewer founded the company in 1919 at Heepen, near Bielefeld, where he built bicycle frames for other manufacturers and later produced complete bicycles including racing bikes and Radballmaschinen (football bicycle). Construction of mopeds began in the early 1950s using Sachs and Zundapp engines in models designated HD, Koralle and Fasan.

Production halted in 1955.

Sources: Henshaw, GTU Oldtimerservice, et al.

Notes: Bicycle football is somewhat similar to motoball, but without engines.

Help me find information about the moped Hermann Drewer Heepen bei Bielefeld. I am interested in a color photo of the moped and technical characteristics: engine, mass of the moped, carrying capacity, power, maximum speed. If there is no color photo, please report in what color range these mopeds were produced. In the city of Lviv, Ukraine there is the Club "Auto & Moto Retro Bazar" and the museum "Retro Garage Lviv", whose members are fond of retro cars, motorcycles, mopeds and bicycles. I would be grateful for information and further cooperation. Sincerely, Lydia Gaydabura
