A Brief History of the Italian Marque
FIAM - Fabbrica Italiana Autocicli Motoleggere - built machines with DKW engines. They displayed at the Milan Show in 1923, and later built a motorcycle with a 130cc two-stroke engine of their own manufacture.
The finned cylinder was of cast iron while the crankcase and piston were cast in aluminium, with all moving parts carried by ball-bearings.
At the 1927 Milan Show they displayed a new addition to the range, a 250cc sports model.
FIAM also produced light motorcycles under the brand name Aquila Rossa
