A Brief History of the Marque
Manufacturer: Karl Meixner 1937-1949, Vienna
Karl Meixner's company built HMK motorcycles which, between 1937 and 1938, were fitted with 250cc up to 600cc JAP engines. Their business was effectively destroyed following Hitler's invasion and the banning of British components. When the country returned to normality after Hitler's demise, new models were announced of which but a few prototypes were built, powered by 250cc and 500cc Bark single cylinder engines. The marque vanished in 1949.
