Küchen Motorcycle Engines

A Brief History of the Marque

Kurchen engines powered Aeros, Ardie, Atlantis, Carnielli, Meyra, Tornax, Vittoria, WMR and many other motorcycles. Motosacoche had their Opti twin-cylinder engines fitted to a machine built for them by UT in the early 1950s.

Models included 348cc and 498cc three-valve OHC engines made during the mid to late 1920s. They designed the horizontally opposed twin which powered the Hoffmann Gouverneur, and the V35 twin used on the Victoria V35 Bergmeister.

Richard Küchen had an extraordinary career and his name is associated with many iconic models.
