A Brief History of the Marque
Vertical single-cylinder built by Henry Mariani of Monza, in 1930.
The machine has three side valves, one intake and two exhaust, apparently the first example of this type of engine.* It has a Burman three-speed gearbox and can also run on alcohol.
The tube that carries naptha oil from the tank to the carburetor passes twice over the cylinder head, so as to heat the naphtha. There was also a conventional 2-valve SV engine.
