Morgan Auto AG Single-track Automobile

A Brief History of the Marque

Constructed in Berlin by Morgan-Auto A.G. from 1924 to 1925, this was a motorcycle with four wheels.

It had two wheels located fore and aft, inline in the manner of a motorcycle, and towards the rear of the machine were two large outrigger wheels. The 500cc boxer twin (probably a BMW M2B15) drove the rearmost wheel. Seating was side by side in an open cockpit with a conventional automotive dashboard and a steering wheel on the left.
Even had it not been presented during the worst years of hyperinflation, its general weirdness would likely have precluded commercial success.

It is believed to have been inspired by the Mauser Einspurauto.
