Novara Motorcycles

A Brief History of the Italian Marque

The Novara, known locally as the "Novarina", was built from 1929 to 1935. It is believed some 20 machines were created.

CM 250cc, and Chaise and JAP 175cc engines were fitted, and it seems likely they also built their own powerplants.

Angelo Novara, skilled frame builder, built these motorcycles in his workshop in Legnano. His initial plan was to rent them out on an hourly basis but it seems he abandoned this idea and turned to sales.

There exists a Novara, with a French type C Series 3 Chaise engine, which has 'always been owned' by its builder.

Angelo Novara and his son had a Honda dealership in Legnano in the nineteen-eighties and nineties.
