Rapid Motorcycles, Italy

Auxiliary engine for bicycles made by Officine Meccaniche Rapid headquartered at Via Brioschi. The 48cc engine with friction roller drive was equipped, unusually for the time, with a multi-plate clutch in an oil bath.

Several models were built with progressive improvements including power increase from 1.1 hp to 1.2 and then to 1.6 hp.

The last models had a two-speed gearbox.
