Peitro Trespidi was born in Stradella in 1897, and worked with a number of Italian motorcycle companies, most famously Alpino.
The first Trespidi motor cycle appeared in 1925, a 250cc two-stroke which is entered in circuit racing and hill-climbs.
Ignazio Pernetta won the Italian championship for the class on a Trespidi.
Production models of the Trespidi 250 appeared in 1926 in Turismo and Sport versions, and in 1929 the 250 was joined by a 175.
After the war Peitro Trespide formed another motorcycle company, Ardito.
* Sources vary, giving closure dates of 1929, 1930 and 1934.
