Metro Manufacturing Co

Metro were motorcycles produced from 1914 to 1916, in Adderley Road, Saltley, Birmingham by the Metro Manufacturing and Engineering co..

1914 In the early days this machine was also listed as the Imperial Metro. Only one model was offered, fitted with a 269cc two-stroke engine with chain-driven Ruthardt magneto. Options were available in the form of one or two speeds, belt or chain-cum-belt transmission, and either Druid or Brampton Biflex forks.

Note: In 1919 and after the end of World War I, the Metro name was bought by Tyler Apparatus Co of London who went on to successfully market the Metro-Tyler.
