Laverda MuseumCollection de Maurice Chapleur One of the most important veteran collections in the world.
Murphy were motorcycles produced between 1913 and 1914, by 'Billy'
Murphy of Deritend, Birmingham.
These machines were typical of the period and had home-produced engines
and frames. Murphy was killed in a motoring accident in the city,
so the business died with him.
There is also an unrelated marque, the Murphy sidecar.
