Norcroft were motorcycles produced in 1998, in Hove, Sussex.
At the Classic Bike show in April 1998, the firm launched its V-twin RE Interceptor Series V. It was hand built to customer specification with an engine based on the use of two Royal Enfield 500cc Bullet top halves, mounted onto a common crankcase. The engines were imported from India, where that model was still being produced.
Carburation was by two 28mm Mikunis, fired by electronic ignition and it also had electric start. Various options included: a four-speed Enfield gearbox; modified Enfield India or Norton Featherbed frames; Norton Roadholder forks; a 9-inch drum brake on the front and a 7-inch drum at the rear.
Specification was totally flexible, according to customer wishes, and often reduced costs. Production models were very similar to the old Royal Enfield parallel-twin Interceptor.
