Engineer Carl Georg Lindqvist of Gävle designed a light, well-built and reliable bicycle attachment engine in 1917 which could be purchased on an installment plan. Ebe-Verken AB closed in 1921 due to the harsh economic climate, but opened again the following year and produced a new lightweight, followed in 1924 by a 175c machine.
