Buydens Motorcycles

A Brief History of the Marque

Address: 147 rue Léopold 1er, Laeken, Bruxelles Buydens 1950-1955

Buydens of Laeken-Brussels manufactured small quantities of motorcycles in Belgium from 1950 to 1955 using engines from Ydral, Sachs and JLO. The latter company supplied them with powerplants for their 1955 twin-cylinder twostroke models, which bore a resemblance to the British Wooler.

In total, fewer than 100 motorcycles were built.

Competition success included Liège-Monaco-Liège and the 12 hours of Ixelles.
