Barron

Barron were motorcycles produced from 1976 to 1981.

Barron Eurotrade Ltd of 51 High Street Hornchurch, Essex had been a Fantic dealer for some time but as these were expensive competition machines with a limited market they created their own less costly commuter-style motorcycles and entered the market with the Baron 125. The machine was the product of an agreement between Roy Cary of Barron's with the Polish WSK concern part of which stipulated, apparently, the replacement of the WSK engine. Fitted with an Italian Minarelli two-stroke engine and five-speed gearbox, it was assembled in the UK using the WSK rolling chassis together with British and Italian components, The firm also sold imported mopeds and junior cross mopeds which were mainly rebadged Fantic models. Barron continued to market these quite attractive machines for several years.
