Since it's foundation by the three Ducati siblings in the mid-nineteen twenties, the company has experienced control by some 12 different management groups, some of which took Ducati down avenues leading far away from the company's traditional 4 stroke high performance brand of motorcycle. In an attempt to capture a slice of the seventies market for off road style machines the, by then, state owned conglomerate launched a short sighted attempt to compete in the lightweight enduro sector with it's 125 cc. Regolarita, another wolfish street bike in off road sheep's clothing. Regarded by some to have been a marketing flop, nevertheless the handsome, chunky machine found around 3500 customers during it's four year production life, not bad considering there were 20+ other manufacturers with similar offerings available at the time.
This attractive example has resided unused in a private collection for the last few years being well preserved and started up regularly during that time. Believed built in 1975 the six speed, left foot gearchange two stroke 125cc single would appear to have all it's original mechanics and also benefits from a recent new battery and tyres. Entered as 'all good' by the present owner and at sensible reserve this is a good opportunity for the Italian bike enthusiast to acquire a rare and unusual Ducati model.
