Otello Buscherini born in Romagna, Italy.
Buscherini began racing in 1966 on a Minarelli, then rode a Malanca to victory in the Italian Hill Climb in 1968 and 1969, rode Itom in 1970, and by 1972 had won the Italian 50cc Championship.
After recovering from a nasty fall in Brno, he returned in 1974 to win the Italian 125cc Championship on a Malanca, then won the 350cc class at Brno on a Yamaha-Diemme. The following year at the International 250cc GP at Mugello he crashed his Yamaha and was badly injured. On May 16, 1976 Otello Buscherini died from chest injuries suffered in the crash.
