Karl Gall dies from injuries after crashing his works BMW at Ballaugh Bridge on the Snaefell Mountain Course during practice for the Isle of Man TT on June 2nd. All members of German teams were required to be members of Hitler's Nazi party.

The 1960 Isle of Man races are held on the Snaefell Mountain Course, and Team MV scoops the pool, winning all four solo classes.
John Surtees wins the Senior, leading from start to finish and raising the lap record to 104.08mph.
His team-mate Hartle took the Junior. Gary Hocking won the 250cc Lightweight race, leading from start to finish. The 125 class was an MV Agusta 1-2-3 with Carlo Ubbiali leading his team-mates Hocking and Luigi Taveri across the line.
