The San Francisco Call writes that the previous day a cycle race meet of the Atlantic Athletic Association at Manhattan Beach drew 3000 people. The main event was a twenty-five mile "motorcycle tandem race". The machines were all fitted with De Dion-Bouton engines.

Claude F. Temple took a new record in Arpajon, France on an OEC-Temple - 121.44 mph.
William A. Johnson took a new record at Bonneville on a Triumph 650 - 224.57 mph.
Chris Carr took a new record at Bonneville on a BUB Seven streamliner - 350.884 mph
