In 1985, I got my first motorized two-wheeler in the form of a Bronco Fantic mini-bike. It was unusually deluxe for a mini-bike in that it had a 4-speed transmission with clutch, a front disc brake and foot-operated rear brake, full suspension front and rear, front and rear lights including high beam, chrome fenders, and a horn. The tires were small in diameter but wide with a fairly aggressive tread. I don’t know the age of it but I suspect it was from the early 70’s. Although I am 180 lbs, it was powerful enough to climb some respectable hills. I rode the snot out of that little bike until I got a real motorcycle a year later. (It took me a while because Mom had brainwashed us since birth that motorcycles were instantaneous death. I have since been deprogrammed). I gave the mini-bike away two years ago to a friend so his young boy could have some fun with it.

I have heard about that Fantic chopper but have never seen one. Does anyone out there have a photo they could scan in and post? — Dash Riprock

I have a 1970 Fantic Broncco TX7 that I would like to get running. It needs a carb gasket kit. The carb is a SHA14 12 single side draft. I would also like to find any printed info on the bike. It has a lot of power for its size. My son is now ready to ride it. Any help? Thanks! — B & B — iceclipper at hotmail.com
