Waaaagghhh! Utopia – other Fantic appreciators…
I have a Fantic Caballero Regolarita ‘4m 50cc from 1976. It was my first real bike, and I loved it to bits – still do! trouble is, I need to totally rebuild it, and no-way can I find parts. Has anyone got a picture of one with its proper stripes on the tank? I painted my helmet like it, but the original tank got trashed long ago… I’d love to hear from anyone else who has or had one… MAIL ME! — Clive Bagley clive.bagley at dial.pipex.com2005-04-27 at 5:46 am #12891

My name is Maxime (Max for my close friends) and I live in Belgium.
I bought last year a 93’ Fantic Caballero 50cc, water-cooled. I’m 15 years old, so I’m not allowed to ride my motorcycle on the road (the Belgian laws are so stupid !). In fact, in my country, you can ride a 50cc motorcycle at the age of 16 and a 125cc at 18. Why aren’t the Belgian laws similar to most of the EEC countries ? So, I’ve ridden my love in the meadow for six months, and I must still do it during the six following months. I wish my birthday came soon !
Well my point of view about my Fantic Caballero is the following : I think Fantic is a very good brand, very strong and evolved. The big trouble is that there aren’t dealers and parts sellers enough. The brakes are so marvellous ! The engine is so “cool” ! The whole motorcycle is in harmony with you when you ride it.
I’ve never had any problem with my Fantic, however I often don’t respect her. I hope it will continue. At the moment, I’ve just a small problem with the Idling speed level. When the engine is cold, the level is too high, and after a few minutes, it is too low. Why ? Because of the Del’orto carburettor ? Well, if you have photographs or documentation about nineties’ Caballero 50, or if you have a Caballero like mine, send me a mail without hesitation. (my native language is French) — Calaym at caramail.com Bye !
P.S.: I’ll send you a photograph of my Fantic as soon as possible.2005-04-27 at 5:47 am #12892

I am Matthijs and I am from Holland, I own 3 Fantic’s. A Caballero (90’er) An Oasis and a Raider. I think Fantic is the Number 1 brand of the world. only with the caballero I have a few problems. The upper ‘ring’of the piston can spin around because the pin that must block it is damaged. I have bought another one for it ($100 in my country) but now it’s doing it again. Does anyone know what to do about it????? My email is GMatthijs at cs.com
