I am trawling around for info to help me complete my biography of the late Kim Newcombe.

I am the author of books on John Britten and Burt Munro.

There are a few races here and there for which I have no general descriptions and I have asked on various sites for help. One still outstanding meeting is the one held at Misano after the 1973 Italian GP. It was an International meeting and renamed in honour of Renzo Pasolini. Bieter Braun won the 350 race with Kim second and Rod Tingate 3rd. The 500 race is a bit of a mystery. Everyone was there – Ago, Read etc. No Kanaya as Yam had withdrawn.

I would really like to know about the 250’s and I suppose the 125’s would have been racing. Don’t know about the 50’s. There were no sidecars.

I don’t know where such a description might be found. I have been to the UK on this project to look through the British Library and found no mention of it in MCN – or somehow overlooked it.

    Anyway – you never know.

For the record I ride a 70 Fastback.
