    Hello all,

I’m Mat a Welshman living in Paris :-) I ride a Fazer1000 2003, and my current score is 60,000km in 2 1/2 years on various bikes (started with a 125cc Varadero, and after passing my test I bought a FZ6 Fazer, which was stolen in March 2006  )

I’ve just bought a Cagiva Elefant 750 for my girlfriend who is passiing her bike test. This bike has not been ridden or started for about a year, I need to clean it up and get it running. The guy assured me that last year it worked and run with no leaks or mechanical problems, and was regularly serviced by a local garage (he’ll send me the receipts soon) The bike was left with a full tank of petrol, and the battery was not removed/disconnected (so it’s really very dead!)

Please give me any advice or ideas you may have to get this thing up and runnning, I already connected up a battery booster to see if it truned over at least, but apart from the starter turning the moteur didn’t really react., the electrics all seems to work fine, indicators/lights etc. brakes are ok but dusty and cobwebbed all over the place.

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

    Mat
