I wondered if anyone knew when Hercules motorcycles with a Sachs engines were made for the military? I ran across , in a garage at a sale, the following: A Hercules motorcycle , the owner said it had a Sachs engine, that was made for the military. The only information I could find was that they made them in the 90’s. The owner said it was from the 50’s or if anyone knows of any websites with pictures and more information. Supposedly, residents of Germany were allowed to purchase them as surplus at one time. A friend of his shipped him this motorcycle piece by piece to the US and he reassembled it. Neat looking bike , just wondered if they made a military version in the 50’s. He was asking 1500.00 for it. Does that sound like a good price? Thanks for your time.

If it’s a 125 with an Earles front end then it’s from the early 1970s.
