Wellerdiek Motorcycles

A Brief History of the Marque

Manufactured by Erwin & Paul Wellerdiek of Brackwede-Bielefeld.

The firm was established in 1927, it is believed.

Having built bicycles since the 1920s, their first venture into motorcycle production was cut short by the National Socialists. The inexpensive lightweight was fitted with a 118cc JLO engine.

Postwar they built attractive mopeds, beginning in the early 1950s, and the firm continued in the motorcycle trade into the 1970s.
