A Brief History of the Marque
A racing motorcycle first built in 1967 with its name derived from those of the designers, Carlo Savaré and Daniel Fontana, the latter famed for his brakes.
They were joined by Australian GP rider Jack Findlay.
The engine was an inclined 498cc transverse three-cylinder fourstroke, with a DOHC head and four valves per cylinder, driving a seven speed gearbox.
The engine was similar in concept to the dominating MV Agusta triple. Findlay achieved a second place behind Agostini in the 1968 500 GP.
Findlay and Fontana went on to built the Jada TR.
