S4 Motorcycles by Sergio Secondo

A Brief History of the Marque

Manufactured: 1939-1954

Sergio Secondo built racing motorcycles with transverse four-cylinder OHC engines of 350 and 500cc which gained recognition in competition in the post-war years. Later machines had Earles-style forks, a 4LS front brake, swinging arm suspension with dual shock absorbers and a sculpted fuel tank. It was quite a stunning machine. Secondo collaborated with Ercole Beltritti and Alfredo Berola.

Sergio Bongiovanni, an Italian collector, bought one of these from Secondo in the 1990s.
