Zachka Helicopter, Berlin 1928
Built by the manufacturer of Orionette motorcycles, the Zacha helicopter was a large scale model developed to test whether the machine would glide to the ground without power - autorotate. It could, but it was not developed further due to financial difficulties. It was this machine which was the inspiration for the helicopter first flown some ten years later by Hanna Reisch. (From memory - may not be 100% accurate).
