Manderbach logo

Manufactured by Fahrzeugfabrik Louis Manderbach & Co., Wissenbach 25/Dillkreis(55/83), Nassau, established 1899.

From 1927 to 1939 Manderbach built a variety of front and rear loading three-wheeled commercial vehicles, most of which were powered by DKW engines of 123cc, 198cc, 293cc and 348cc. The rear-loading vans had the larger engines, 196cc for tax-exempt vans, and 348 cc for the heavier machines.

Production resumed in 1949 with mostly 4-wheel light trucks. The firm was taken over in 1954, and the new owners kept the name.

Production figures pre-war were around 350, and from 1949 to 1956 some 590 were built. Very few machines were built between 1957 and 1960 when the firm closed.
