Elsa Bicycle Engines

A Brief History of the Italian Marque

Elsa, an acronym for Elettromeccanica Lucini Societa Anonima, in 1920 built an auxiliary 75cc two-stroke engine designed by Carlo Borelli which was mounted adjacent to the rear wheel of a bicycle.

The firm existed until 1925. There was also a Sorelli motorcycle.
