Historical Notes on the Italian Marque
The intitals FB represent Ferrarini and Bagnoli, based in Gavirate in the province of Varese. In 1970 they built 125cc off-road motorcycles. The two engineers had worked with Aermacchi for many years developing racing machines, and their frame is a direct descendant of that of the Aermacchi Golden Wing.
The engine is also of Aermacchi parentage, with various modifications allowing it to deliver 17½ h.p. at 8000rpm, with good bottom-end performance to boot.
Ignition uses the Dansi electronic (as fitted to the A-HD racing machines), carburetor is a Dellorto 27mm. The chassis sports Boranni alloy rims, Morini brakes and Bonazzi front suspension.
