Demmo Three-wheelers

Manufactured from the early 1930s until the Japanese invasion, these were commercial three-wheelers with the engine mounted above the front wheel.

NV Demmo moved to a larger factory to Jalan Darmokali no. 7 Surabaya in 1932

The vehicles were sold in Malang, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Bandung, Batavia (Jakarta), Palembang, Medan, Makassar and Banjarmasin, as well as Surabaya.

The original Demmo two-stroke engine was changed to a Merkur two-stroke from Germany, and they also fitted DKW engines.

Their chief competitor was Atax, also from Surabaya.
