A Brief History of the Italian Marque

Franco Azzara was based in Milan and between 1922 and 1927 produced motorcycles under the G.A. marque using his own two-stroke engines of 175 cc.

In 1922 an interesting motorcycle appeared with the Azzara brand; it had a pressed steel frame with front fork (biscottini) and a removable saddle tank. The machine was powered by a 695cc Blackburne V-twin.

It is unknown whether it went into production or remained at the prototype stage.

N.B. Azzara or Azzarra? The original Italian text used both spellings, but the latter form is uncommon.
