Champion Microcars

A Brief History of the Marque

Hermann Holbein a former BMW engineer who built a small machine using a Triumph N├╝rnberg (TWN) 125cc 2-stroke 5 hp engine. This prototype was called the Ch-1.

He designed the Ch-2, an attractive two-seater of which only a total of 11 were built.

One of these was bought by Maico, who developed the succesful Maico 500 machine.

It it believed that only two have survived, one one of which is in the Bruce Weiner Microcar Museum in the United States.
