Moto FG of Italy

A Brief History of the Italian Marque

Moto FG was located in Mariano Comense, Como, Lombardy. FG is the acronym of Figli Giussani; the brothers Giussani were Enrico, Ernesto and Emilio. There was also a fourth brother, Giuseppe, but it is not clear whether he participated in the construction of the FG.

The Moto FG was raced in Como-Brunate and in Carate Brianza.

In 1929 the rider Cipriano Ronchetti came third at the Circuito di Gornate Olona in the 350 class on a Moto FG.

Information is sparse, but it would seem that the FG motorcycle was produced for at least the period 1928-1938.

During this decade fewer than thirty motorcycles were built, the majority of the type referred to as the 4HP.

Other models developed 3 HP, 5 HP, 6 HP and even an 11 HP which is equivalent to an engine of at least 1000cc displacement.
