Menon Motorcycles

A Brief History of the Marque

Manufactured: ca 1923-1929

Workshop based in the village of Roncade, Treviso established by Carlo Menon in 1875.

From 1893 to 1898 the factory built bicycles, tandems and related vehicles. The first car was built in 1893, before Fiat.

Motorcycle construction began after the First World War, probably in 1923. Some models had a 198cc four-stroke with the cylinder canted forward. The last models used a single-cylinder 350cc. Production finished before 1930. All had engines of their own manufacture.

"...with the Duce there were tax concessions under 220 cc from the year 1923 up to the year 1932, you could ride a motorcycle without a license and without a license plate" ~ Carrer Aldo.
