Dick Newman, Martin-JAP ca. 1938

Martin-JAP-1938-Dick-Newman-WMT-01.jpg
Dick Newman was the race winner at High Beech, Essex (home of British Speedway) in 1938 and at New Cross, London in 1939. It is thought that he may be an Australian - there is an Australian flag under his name on the rear guard of the motorcycle in the Whitewebb Museum collection. It is understood he moved to Australia shortly before the onset of war.

The museum also has two of his trophies.
