The Cairn was built in 1950 by a Mr Farrow of Reading in Berkshire.
A prototype was constructed in the style of the Corgi. It had small wheels and was easy to transport. It had a simple frame from which was hung a 99cc Villiers 1F engine. It had no suspension but was fitted with four-inch tyres and disc wheels. All the works were fully enclosed by panels and the saddle and handlebars were height-adjustable. Although the design was stylish, nothing further came of it.
N.B. Unrelated to the Cairns Mocyc.
