A Brief History of the Marque

1925-1930
Founded by Dr. Martin Böhme, the machines were relatively sophisticated for the day, being fitted with pressurised water-cooled (Thermosiphon-Wasserköhlung) engines, drum brakes front and rear, and a twin-downtube frame. Early examples were built by Gehre-Dampfmesser GmbH Berlin, who manufactured among other things steam engine components.
The firm also built commercial three-wheelers named "Lastenrenner" from 1925 to 1928.
These were presented at the Berlin Motor Show in 1925 and were powered by a water-cooled Böhme horizontal two-stroke engine. Later models had 3.5 HP air-cooled and 4.5 HP water-cooled engines with 3-speed gearbox and kick starter. Payload was in the order of 250kg.
The Bohme firm vanished during the onset of the depression.
