Tropfen Motorcycles

A Brief History of the Marque

Manufactured 1923-1924

Luftreederei Max Schüler (LMS), Osnabrück Netterheide

In 1923 the firm used its expertise as a builder of airships to construct motorcycles powered by 142cc DKW engines. These had the appearance of a Zeppelin and were named the Tropfen-Motorrad. Few were made.

Another source says that they constructed motorcycles powered by their own 348cc and 308cc two-stroke engines.

The motor-hist-foto.de site lists types L, M and S under the LMS marque. Tragatsch lists an airship builder L.M.S.
