A Brief History of the Marque

Established in 1899 in Neuenrade in the Sauerland, Vaterland Werk Friedrich Herfeld Söhne GmbH & Co. KG was one of the oldest German bicycle manufacturers.

They built lightweight motorcycles and mopeds fitted with Sachs engines from 1933 to 1939.[1] In the 1950s they built mopeds powered by 50c Sachs engines.

The company ceased production in 2007.
