A Brief History of the Marque
Built by Taurea in the years 1950-1952, the ciclomotore had a 48cc two-stroke auxilliary engine and large wheels. They also produced the CM/1, very different in appearance and powered by a 48cc Cucciolo four-stroke.
The Taurea firm was established in 1947, and by the early 1950s bicycle production approached 20,000 per annum. Giuseppe Pelà was responsible for the design and production of the frames. Production does not appear to have continued beyond 1952.
