Doniselli Motorcycles and Mopeds

A Brief History of the Italian Marque

Fratelli Doniselli S.A. was founded in 1919 by three brothers who, after many years building bicycles, began making commercial three-wheelers.

The production began with motocarri powered by a TWN Triumph 175, and then an electric motofurgoncini.

From shortly after the war until 1973 the Milan factory built two-and three-wheel mopeds using a variety of engines from the likes of Alpino, DEMM, Ardito, Sachs, JLO, Jolly, Franco Morini and Minarelli.

They also built bicycles equipped with an Asso auxiliary motor, the Giove for men and the Dalia for women. Their Vedetta scooters were powered by 49cc DEMM two-strokes.
