A Brief History of the Italian Marque
In 1919 the brothers Augusto and Ferdinando Michelin established a bicycle business named Ciclo Piave in Conegliano, Treviso, and built their first motorcycles in 1921. Ferdinando left the business in 1936 and established his own firm in Conegliano named Stella Veneta and began building bicycles and lightweight motorcycles. In 1948 Ferdinando set up a second firm for bicycle components, and passed the Stella Veneta company to his sons Italo and Tideo.
Ferdinando died in 1963. Tideo remained as manager of Stella Veneta whilst Italo took over the other company, Ferdinando Michelin Conegliano (FMC).
FMC moved to San Vendemiano in 1970 and continues producing bicycle parts now under the brand Miche. See www.miche.it.
Stella Veneta models include the 1959 Veneta 47cc Sachs 2-speed, motorcycle styling, dual seat, Radaelli components. Later models include the Pachito with a 3-speed Franco Morini engine.

Hello,
Can you tell more about this Italian beauty ?
All I know is that it is manufactured in the late 50's
And Jim Cooper has contributed to this design as I am told by former owner
It has Radaelli parts mounted to it,and a 2 speed handshifted Sachs engine!

Stella 1925?
Hi, I've almost finished the restoration of a Stella motocycle, do you know anything about these bikes? I need a nut for the head stock, it looks like 26.5mm(??) and a kick start return spring for the Staub gearbox, any ideas. The bike belongs to a local moonshine producer who bought it in 1928.
