Volugrafo Scooters

Aermoto and Motopattino

Aermoto, manufactured 1942-1944

Volugrafo Aermoto built a miniature scooter used by Italian paratroopers in WWII, and also by German forces. Some 2000 units were produced between 1942 and 1944 in Torino and later, after the factory was bombed, in Favria. The machine has folding handlebars and two front wheels bonded together as one.

Engines listed include Batua 120cc from Sertum, and a Sachs 98cc (48 x 54mm).

Motopattino, manufactured 1940-1941

Volugrafo also built the Motopattino, which was presented in 1940. Fitted with a Sachs 98cc engine, and apparently also with a fan-cooled engine, it was started with a kickstarter or by pushstart depending on the engine. An electric version was built but did not enter production. Some 100 were built in total from 1940 to 1941.

Volugrafo granted Vittorio Belmondo a license to built the Motopattino, which he produced as the Simat.
