The Troll Motorcycle

Built by Maarten Mager (1938-2019)

The Troll is an off-road motorcycle created in 1967 using a modified British frame fitted with an MZ 125 engine.

Born in the Netherlands, Maarten moved to Chile with his family when 7 years old, then 10 years later to Germany where he worked with Motorrad as a photographer. He travelled around Norway in 1967 on a moped, then returned in 1970... and stayed. He spoke Dutch, Spanish, German, English, Italian and Norwegian.

"Maarten Mager was a creative man with a unique ability to organize and initiate projects and as a result of that he had a tremendous impact on Norwegian MC life..." ~ Motorrad Nordic AB, 2nd May 2019.
