BMW R 16 1929-1934

Introduced with a pressed-steel frame, the R16 was a landmark design for BMW. Fitted with an overhead-valve 736cc engine with a three-speed transmission and a dry single-disc clutch, powere was transmitted to the rear wheel via a cardan drive. It was built from 1929 to 1934 in five variations.
