Bindy Motorcycles

The Bindy was a motorcycle produced from 1979 to 1980.

The Bindy (or Britain Is Not Dead Yet) was the creation of George Harris, who had been involved with racing Bantams for many years. In 1979 he built a small two-stroke with a 125cc engine from Aubrey Upton of Leicester. That engine had first been designed for kart racing under the Manx name. Harris created the machine by adding water-cooling to the engine and installing it in a Jack Machin frame. All the parts were British except for the brakes. It was competitive in Britain for a couple of seasons, when ridden by Roger Martin, Tony Jones, and Dick Hunter.
