M.F.G. Garanzini Motorcycles

A Brief History of the Italian Marque

M.F.G. is the acronym for Motocicli Francesco Garanzini who also built motorcycles with Blackburne powerplants.

Built from 1921 to 1925 or 1927.

Francesco Garanzini, born in 1896, brother of the better known Oreste, worked with him in their workshop-garage in via Aribeto 1.

When Oreste moved to Via Londonio and then to Solari in Milan, Francesco continued building motorcycles with Blackburne engines of 250, 350 and 500cc, offering both sports and touring models.

The company also produced its own 142cc two-stroke engine.

Production appears to have been around thirty motorcycles a year.

In 1925 the workshop produced models of 250 and 350cc with Blackburne engines mounted with the cylinder inclined forward, sloper-style.

In 1925 he won the championship S.I.M. Class 350 with A.Turri.
